  • @hummingbird604 Let me add my best wishes for you tomorrow on your PhD defense. BTW, what *is* your thesis title? #
  • @greggscott Digsby takes care of that ‘problem’ You can be invisible, still see who is in the chat mode and don #
  • @greggscott …don’t have to be logged in to FB! #
  • Retweet: @hrheingold "Hot laptop is main hazard of working nekkid outside on day like today. But I have no further plans to breed." Love it! #
  • Walking in the morning needs to be new my new wake up routine. Feels great! #
  • My response to anti-gay marriage opinion: 150 years ago, slavery was legal. 100 years ago, women couldn’t vote. Have a nice day. #

  • Been up for three hours. Must Leave Computer Now. Delivering bokashi and meeting with Climate Action Secretariat officials later today. #
  • Asian Pacific Post writes a local story I want to link to. Went to the website listed on masthead: http://asiapacificpost.com = no local #
  • Arrgh! Called them on telephone. Why? The printed a story about guerrilla gardening and used my pics w/o permission or credit. #
  • The article is on Page 21 of the May 8 - 14, 2008 print edition. The pics are here http://tinyurl.com/4ge8eg here http://tinyurl.com/3vsexs #
  • …and here http://tinyurl.com/4gwjyw I am waiting for the editor to call me back. #
  • Do you think the Asian Pacific Post violated the CC license? I think they did. No credit given and used for a commercial purpose. All they.. #
  • …had to do was ask me. I probably would have said yes. What say you? #
  • After finding the correct url http://tinyurl.com/6gtno6 I see that the Asian Pacific Post have take 3 of my photos for their online story. #
  • The editor called back. Credit will be given on their website and a link to the VGG meetup group http://tinyurl.com/4hykp5 All good. #
  • Still raining. What else is new? Tomorrow a sunny heat wave begins and ends two days later. We live for the simple pleasures in Vancouver #
  • @sondernagle Ethnic radio = great world music & spots with English words like "immigration service" & "full time job" added http://redfm.ca/ #

  • I can’t watch news footage from China or Myamar/Burma. I’ve tried. There’s to much sad information and to far away. My attitude may change. #

Pink snow in Vancouver

May 11, 2008 - 6:50pm

Here’s the view in my neighbourhood this morning:

Pink snow in Vancouver

It is surreal and beautiful too.

Snow Petals

A tweet: Love watching the falling petals of cherry blossoms; snow that doesn’t melt. The wind blows them down the street like confetti. Slippery too.

Real snow on April 19 -  No one I know remembers it snowing so late in the year

snow in april - tfw

But snow at the end of March is normal - it did that last year too.

Snow in Vancouver on March 28

Snow and cherry blossoms

Snow & Cherry Blossoms

First post with Windows Live Writer - positive reviews on Lifehacker. I agree.

The tornado dropped out of the sky...soon began heading in his direction. As Reed and Lorenson backed down a dirt road, the tornado followed. Suddenly, the tornado stopped. That’s when Reed got out of the car and ran directly toward it.
