Reel 2 Real Celebrates 10th Anniversary.
Cutting edge online media, "Old School" classics, and Cultural Diversity will be highlighted at the Reel 2 Real International Film Festival for Youth from February 22 - 29, 2008. Festival Director Venay Felton announced, "The festival will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary with an Awards Night and Opening Gala screening, Red Like the Sky (Italy) on February 22 at 6:30 pm at the Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour Street)." The movie is based on the true story of Mirco Mencacci, who lost his sight at ten years old but became one of Italy’s top sound designers for film. Presented by Raz Chan Fitness and Mobile Personal Training

Put some spring into your step! Join our popular Women’s Cardio Kickboxing Bootcamp and get your body ready for spring vacation. Experience a total body workout with partner drills, core ab exercises, squats to tone the lower body, and more. Never the same workout twice and lots of variety to keep all fitness levels challenged.

LOCATIONS & SCHEDULE
All Bootcamps are 3x/week (12 sessions). Due to the format of our Bootcamp, we do not offer drop-in rates or switching of class sessions - please review our registration policy under our FAQs section online. Participants are required to come to class with handwraps and cardio boxing gloves.

PAVEL EGOROV IN RECITAL. Acclaimed Russian pianist, Professor of St. Petersburg Conservatory Pavel Egorov performs on Saturday, Feb 23 at 8 PM. at Vancouver Academy of Music. In program – music by Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin and Glinka. Pavel Egorov launched his career by winning Gold Medal and the Grand Prize at the International Schumann Competition in Zwickau in 1974. He is an Honorary Member of the International Schumann Society, Dusseldorf, Germany and was awarded the International Schumann Price in 1988 . Last year he received the highest artistic recognition in Russia, a "National Artist of Russian Federation" title. He has toured in the United States, Canada, China, Taiwan, Japan, Republic of Korea, and most of Europe. During his career he has performed in more than 3000 solo, symphonic and chamber concerts and recorded over 40 Cds.
