The UBC Opera Ensemble is proud to announce the world premiere of an opera by Canadian composer Lloyd Burritt based on the novel Pilgrim by Timothy Findley. The Dream Healer, an opera in two acts, will feature Judith Forst, John Avey, Roelof Oostwoud, along with UBC Opera Ensemble and the UBC Symphony Orchestra all under the baton of David Agler. How it Works presented by Touchstone Theatre and Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad

Touchstone Theatre and Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad presents the Western Canadian premiere of Daniel MacIvor’s play How it Works, directed by Touchstone’s Artistic Director Katrina Dunn. Al (Andrew Wheeler) is a cop whose teenage daughter (Anna Cummer) is hitting the drugs hard. It's not an ideal time for dating, but after a messy divorce from Donna (Katharine Venour), he needs a new start. Christine (Kerry Sandomirsky) arrives in his life with an antidote to all things ordinary, and some strange medicine for the girl with the angry heart. In this delicate puzzle of a play MacIvor approaches the family with characteristic honesty and inventiveness. The picture that emerges combines deeply human moments with East Coast humour and a surprising rethinking of themes we know well. Touchstone’s production brings some of Vancouver’s finest actors and designers to the interpretation of this important new work.

Want a swimsuit-ready body by summer vacation? Experience our Women's Cardio Kickboxing Bootcamp and get a toned body in time for beach weather!

Join us three times a week for 4 weeks for our total body workout with boxing drills, core ab exercises, interval training, and more! Never the same workout twice with our programming and lots of variety to keep all fitness levels challenged.

All Bootcamps are 3x/week (12 sessions). Due to the format of our Bootcamp, we do not offer drop-in rates or switching of class sessions - please review our registration policy under our FAQs section online. Participants are required to come to class with handwraps and cardio boxing gloves.
