Addiction Services Education Series

The Addiction Services, Public Education Series, is a community service of Vancouver Coastal Health. This program is free and open to anyone who is interested in addiction, alcohol and other drugs.
There are 6 sessions, 1) what is addiction, 2) drugs and the body, 3) recovery, 4) family issues, 5) helping others, 6) drugs in our society-a public health approach to drug control. Participants who complete all six sessions will receive a certificate upon completion. This ongoing program occurs every Friday morning from 9:30-11:30 on drop-in basis, no registration is required. Our panelists have years of experience finding, listening, composing and placing songs in TV/film & video games.They will share their experience and knowledge during this session.

Highlights include: Folk dancers, singers & musicians in authentic costume performing non-stop throughout the day; children’s tent with face-painting & balloon-twisting and crafts; cultural displays, European marketplace, European food tent, beer garden and a finalé with live dance band, The S-Bahn!
