Chef's Studio Series

The Chef's Studio Series is presented by Lisa's Dining Club (www.lisasdining.com) and Four Willows Catering (www.fourwillowscatering.com). The concept of the Chef's Studio Series is to provide a forum for notable cooks and chefs to showcase their knowledge and experience in an intimate and interactive atmosphere. The Chef's Studio Series will be an enjoyable and interactive experience for both cooks and participants. It is a great avenue to cultivate the exchange of ideas, information and culinary secrets. The Chef's Studio Series is about interacting and learning to cook with a professional chef on the last Tuesday of every month starting in July 2008.

Appetizer:
Seared scallops with citrus reduction on organic spring greens
(sauteed leeks, orange, bolini, creme fresh, lumpfish eggs)

Entree:
Beef tenderloin in smoked bacon and parsley potatoes with green
peppercorn demi - glaze
(roasted petit pan squash, braised red cabbage)

Dessert:
Baked lemon pudding with papaya sauce and fresh berries

Sins of the City Walking Tour

This two hour walking tour--run by the Vancouver Police Museum--takes participants through the oldest parts of Vancouver, exploring the early (and roguish) history of our city. Covering ten city blocks, the tour visits numerous locations, including the site of one of Vancouver’s oldest brothel districts, the location of the city’s first saloon as well as the first police station (and jail). Opium dens, gambling houses and beer parlors are also featured topics of the tour. Tour runs every Wednesday at 2pm and Friday and Saturday at 4pm until October 1, 2008.

Kinesiologists.ca Fit Camp Functional Circuit Training Series

What: Come join us for our new high-intensity, motivating workouts designed to make you sweat while having fun in a group environment. Our trained kinesiologists, will take you through a series of exercises geared towards core training, muscular strength and endurance, power training, agility, and quickness.

Where: Kinesiologists.ca Kitsilano clinic @ 101-2025 West Broadway.

When: Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:00am-10:00am. Rain or shine!
Why: Why not?!!!
Who: Our team of kinesiologists have the knowledge base from a four year university education.
How: Purchase 10 sessions for $175.00 or 20 sessions for $300.00. We also welcome drop-ins for $20.00 per session.
