New House in East Van

Away for a week at OSCON 2005 in Portland and I return to find some more wood over parts of the windows but not much visible external change. Bet there's lots of changes on the inside.

They've been banging away on a new one in the next block here since the beginning of April, and now it seems they're doing another one right next door to it - there goes the peace and quiet for another several
months. The outside is almost finished on the first one now, and the
whole thing's covered in unfinished stucco at the moment, all dull gray and depressing looking. The place has so many parts to it, with so many
branches to the roof, it looks like a small hotel.

I think it's too early to say the house looks depressing, many adjustments are made in the finishing part. I like the way it looks at this stage and I already can picture it having double glazed windows that can easily change it's aspect. Let's give this house a chance.
