Gratuitous Road closing on Fleming Street!?! - Roland's Vancouver Morning Part 68

I don't know why this road was closed today and yesterday. Perhaps it has something to do with the New House in East Van? I looked but didn't see any obvious water, electrical or gas construction that would necessitate a closing. City Hall should have a blog or a website with RSS where they document why these things are happening. Enquiring minds want to know :-) !
Could it be sewer work?

The city's website offers an email subscription list that updates on traffic advisories, road closure info, and project updates.
i think you were right! there was work on east 15 between commercial and fleming which is very close
cool that they have a website and mailing list but they also need an RSS feed
