Oldest Living Blogger asks: How do you feel about another federal election?

Lately, I've been getting increasingly irritated with
both Jack Layton and Stephen Harper for the ways they
both appear to be playing 'silly buggers' while acting
like prima donnas, primping & preening for the photographers
and smirking into the camera. It's as if Destiny herself
had called and offered them the world on a silver platter.
Who are these guys? Stephen Harper, recent reports reveal,
can't even run a straight pin through his own lapel without
assistance, and without it promptly falling out. Jumpin' Jack
Layton hasn't yet mastered the technicalities of the automobile
and prefers to ride his bicycle through the gridlock in the
name of the environment, or of living dangerously, or perhaps
from stupidity.
Paul Martin has mastered all of that, but has severe lapses
of memory about his appearances around the Cabinet table,
while Cabinet made plans for that scheme to "sell Canada
to Quebecers". Why on earth would we need to sell Quebecers
Canada, when we've already handed it over to them and given
them essentially full control of our federal government's
civil service, with all its labyrinthine machinations?
And why did that have to be done surrepticiously and at
a cost of a hundred million dollars? Whay couldn't the head
of the Finance department which would logicall be expected
to provide the money for that operation recall any of the
details of it later?
Also, when do we start to get that highly-rated 'responsible
government' we were taught to expect by our teachers long
ago in school? Lastly, are we happy with the prospect of
losing nearly half a billion dollars on that scandal and
its related investigation and two elections that will be
the ultimate result of it? Does that ever end?
