The Women in Film Festival, BC in association with WIFTI presents the International and HomeGrown BC Short Film Showcase

Join Women in Film and Video Vancouver (WIFVV) as they celebrate International Woman’s Day with an incredible line up of International and Homegrown films. The festival is presented in association with Women in Film & Television International (WIFTI) to acknowledge and celebrate the works of female filmmakers around the world. The WIFTI Showcase screenings portion will take place in cities around the world on the same day: Wednesday, March 8, 2006: International Women's Day. What better way to celebrate this important day than by viewing an outstanding selection of films by international women directors encompassing a broad range of styles, visions and passions worldwide. WIFTI has provided each participating Women in Film chapter with a collection of international short films. The Vancouver chapter has chosen to add their own indigenous films to the line up. For WIFVV, that means B.C. Homegrown short films featuring Women directors, producers, writers and actors, will be screened along side International films on March 8th with the top BC films garnering an additional screening on March 12th following a B.C. feature film presentation and the award winning films from the March 8th screening. Short films will be eligible to win a fast film CineClix distribution agreement and a Cold Reading Series script reading for the Winning Film for scriptwriting.

Followed by the winning films from March 8th
