Eccentric Canadians

Eccentric Canadians

By frances Bacon on March 23, 2006 - 5:27pm

I'm a researcher/writer from New Zeaaland who is currently working on a series of children's books about odd people, odd events, odd traditions, odd ideas, odd houses/art environments – basically anything fun, quirky, or interesting that is relatively kid friendly. I'm on the hunt for Canadian content and although I have managed to unearth a few gems, it is pretty hard from this side of the world. So I was wondering if anybody out there knew of an eccentric Canadian character/event/tradition etc that I should look into? I'd like to hear more about the Vancouver duck lady for a start. Please tell me your stories of funny Canadians. It would make my day!
