hi
I'm hoping you can clarify what the trackback URL will do. I was hoping to direct users to the hi res versions I post here at morguefile.com.
Please advise.
Thanks
Rx

If you use an external publishing system such as Wordpress or MT that supports "trackback", entries you make on remote sites appear as comments on articles here. It's a way of writing longer entries on your own site but still bi-directionally linking to remote articles.

You can find out more about trackback here and here.

That long and complicated explanation of trackback over, I think you will likely have to manually paste in the link from the hi-res versions. Or you could add the link to your artist page as part of your signature?

and you can also link to your hi-res photo on morguefile.com directly from your photo post on UrbanVancouver.com

Thanks for the info.
I've tried to keep the image sizes below, say, 35k here, full images are anywhere from 1.5Mb to 3 Mb or thereabouts. I'm not *real* sure about morguefiles image policy generally, but there is a notice *not* to link to images directly on the site.

Perhaps the sig option is wisest.

Thanks

Right now we have a hard limit of 2MB for an individual image (roughly 1600x1200). We have no problems with you posting full-size images here -- the thumbnails will still get re-sized to 350pixels wide, but the original will remain full-size. If you want more space, and you've been a good contributor, no problem. Use the contact form to get in touch directly.

I didn't mean link to the pictures which of course is not good, what I meant was link to the web page with the full resolution picture. Sorry for any confusion!
