I am now officially a commuter and daily passenger on the Seabus. I am also signed up to the 'message' that crossing the water is a real pain, the bridges: man are they a nitemare? Of course whether I truly believe my own message only time will tell .

Nobody likes my idea, but it might work - during rush hours,
make the Second Narrows (Ironworkers Memorial) Bridge one-way
into town, and the Lions Gate Bridge one-way out of town.
We should also have a Skytrain loop from the PNE across
Second Narrows, along the North Shore to Lions Gate, and
back into town.
I am a mostly-daily Seabus voyager - i teaches me patience and i like to view the ships crusing and steamers heading out and plus admire the giant pile of sulphur which never changes size.
I often use the Seabus as a podcast recording studio for making the Canucks Outsider and also using the vessel as a literary writing workspace.
I too enjoy taking snapshots of the noble seabus and its environs though contend that the catamaran looked ever better in orange.
Hint: use the Seabus as cheap harbor cruise for out-of-town friends - enjoy lunch at Lonsdale Quay and/or take the bus up to Lynn Valley park suspension bridge(the free alternative to Capilano bridge).

The day I met my now-colleague Roland Tanglao, I had time left on my transfer and took an impromptu cruise from downtown to Londsdale then straight back. It was a beautiful bright winter January day, and saw the whole city and watched another Seabus go by. I've always loved boat trips, and need to take the 15-minute ride again sometime soon, my having a bus pas and all now. The point of this is that it can be a cheap cruise for out-of-town friends (I considered recommending it to someone I met on the bus who was visiting Vancouver for a day but ended up suggesting Stanley Park) but it's also a nice escape from downtown for those that normally don't take it to work or school.
