Garbage Strike Tip: How to catch fruit flies

Garbage Strike Tip: How to catch fruit flies

Don't have somewhere better than the back of your kitchen to store your garbage? Being invaded by fruit flies?

  1. Cut top off of (ideally) 2L plastic bottle
  2. Put some fruit scraps into the bottle
  3. Put the top back on the bottle, but 'upside down' so that the spout is inside the bottle.
  4. Tape (seal) the bottle back together.
  5. Fruit flies fly in, can't get back out.

Is that better than TV?
Would that idea work for pigeons?

It would work for pigeons if you had a 400L plastic bottle yes :)
