Local Community Building podcast - Raincity talsk Drupal with Olyblog.net

By uncleweed on September 14, 2007 - 3:12pm

On a recent trip to Olympia, Washington, I recorded an interview with one of the docents (like a curator or caretaker) from Olyblog.net. This very active online community has many similarities to Urban Vancouver (as well as many differences) and has sorta taken on a life of its own in this unique, activist-minded, city a mere four hours south of Vancouver.

With these synergies in mind, I am cross-posting here so you can enjoy the lessons and anecdotes discussed over coffee.

Managing a Hyper-local Community with Drupal - Raincity Radio podcast 23:19, .mp3

Managing an active, hyper-local community blog site using Drupal is the topic as Dave O sits down with Emmett, a docent at Olyblog.net and Drupal-ists Jacob and Nat from Zhonka Broadband at an Olympia, Washington coffee shop.

Olympia boasts lots of free wifi from Zhonka Broadband so OlyWa makes a great stop on trips to Portland or beyond.
