Colour me 'Confused'....

Colour me 'Confused'....

By Ray on January 23, 2008 - 11:03am

Uncleweed's Marc Emery post leaves me a little bit confused. When I was a kid, Edward G. Robinson was a Hollywood actor who got famous playing the parts of ruthless or evil gangsters. His most famous scenes usually involved his dying slowly, as the camera panned around the scene, and the microphones caught his dying words, which, famously, included the phrase "...You Dirty Rat!" But that was then, and this is now.

I'm not entirely up on this whole case or scene, but from where I'm sitting it looks to me as if Marc Emery is a bit long in the tooth and short in the hair for playing the part of a rebellious and defiant youth doing his best to cast off the shackles of dreaded authority, and redesign the system to his own liking. We've already been there & done that, and the Flower Power Era has been over now for at least 30 years! So I have to wonder what drives Marc Emery to inviting the establishment to kiss his ass, and give him their best shot - which they appear to be doing. Martyrs are usually just dead misdirected idealists who weren't smart enough to retreat in order to return to fight another day. And flogging a dead horse may be great exercise, but it won't do much for your transportation requirements. Neither will pot, and don't ask how I know.

This issue is no longer about making pot legal. It's about something MUCH larger- it's about canadian soverignty. Read this if you're uncertain:
