Your recommended reading for today....

Surfing the news, I came across this blog with some expert opinion on what we're doing and how effective it is and you might like to give it a read. It won't make you feel a lot better, but it makes some good points.

And while I'm doing this, just a little note to Richard (and the rest of you) about using the new 'enable/disable rich text' switch that's now incorporated here, and available via your account settings - If you have that enabled, then you can't create a hot-link to articles elsewhere on the web, as I've done above. To do that, you need to have rich text disabled, so that your own html will be encoded correctly. (trust me - I tried it both ways.)

Enjoy your day, Everyone.

While what i am about to suggest is a scary idea for most people, it is at least a feasible choice until the technology and infastructure can be developed: Nuclear

We need solutions quick (the technology has existed for decades) and cheap (the infrastructure has also existed for decades) before we pass the point of no return. We can argue the merits or negatives of going nuclear or wait for a "clean" solution to be found, but in either case if we wait too long it will be too late. The tipping point will be reached and it won't matter what we do anymore.
