Lynn Valley PV
Work began last week on what will be the largest photovoltaic (solar electric) installation in the Lower Mainland. Located at the Lynn Valley Care Centre in North Vancouver, BC the system will generate about 9 MWh of electricity per year. Installation work is being done by Vancovuer Renewable Energy (http://www.vrec.ca/ ).

I'm curious how you arrived at a PV system generating 9MWh of energy per year as being the largest in the lower mainland. There are several around town generating more than that already. There're are a pair of 17.5kW systems already operating at 400 & 512 Campbell Street just off of Hastings; these will generate about 40 MWh combined annually. The new Douglas Border Crossing system (Peace Arch) has a 35kW PV canopy which should generate roughly 35kWh annually. Perhaps the Lynn Valley system is larger than these two and the 9 MWh is understated? Regardless, it's going to make for some very nice pictures and any PV project in the lower mainland is a good thing!!!
