The Monster That Ate The Swimming Pool...
The pool where, on nice days, cheerful kids practiced their belly-flops, and matronly Cellulite Sisters sunned themselves instead of doing the housework. Now, those kids are mostly all grown, and those middle-aged matrons are little old ladies who would rather not make a public display of themselves. So along comes this big backhoe, and some trucks, and away went the pool and the building beside it where the water was heated & pumped, and where
also there was room for community events like dances and badminton tournaments and meetings.
Time marches on, and tramples everything underfoot.
