Dear World Poetry and Supporters,
On behalf of over 400 poets, writers, musicians, artists and dancers from 64 countries a strong First Nations and Canadian Poets, we would like to thank everyone for a wonderful celebration of the first Asia Nobel prize winner, R. Tagore on November 24.
Our special thanks go to World Poetry guest hosts Bong Ja Ahn and Ashok Bhargava for the amazing job that they did, organizing and making this special celebration very successful. Additional thanks go to the Consul Generals of India and Korea as well as the varied musicians and dancers that added colour and excitement. World Poets read the poetry of Tagore in several different languages .bringing together the multicultural, multilingual component that World Poetry is so proud of. The India club was well represented with both the president and the new elected president participating. The program was well attended with 187 plus people enjoying the evening.
Our thanks to ATN and Joy TV and Archana Harit as well as Korean TV and the Vancouver Public Library, our gracious hosts.
The evening was a great tribute to Tagore.
Well done all!
