Urban Vancouver Designed By Bright Creative's Dave Shea

Roland, Boris and I are pleased to announce the new design of Urban Vancouver by Vancouver-based Bright Creative's Dave Shea. We are excited that Dave, one of the most respected web designers in the world, produced such a wonderful-looking layout.
In the top right, beneath the logo, are tabs for the Urban Vancouver about page, a link to edit your account info, and a link to contact us. The colour scheme for the site is blue and green, reflecting the colour of the sky and ocean as well as the trees and mountains that surround Vancouver, as well as some "pinky red" (to use Dave's phrasing), which represents the Vancouver area's spring blossoms. The photo in the left top corner and the logo in the top left corner feature two of Vancouver's most recognizable buildings, BC Place stadium and the sails of Canada Place respectively.
There are still some bugs to work out, e.g. the right sidebar sometimes obscuring large photos, as well as some other minor details; this is still an ongoing and iterative process. There will be some more changes coming in the future, as Urban Vancouver has been developing in the open since April, and the new design is a major step forward in that development. That said, we very much welcome feedback about the new layout and we look forward to making a great design even better.
