Sushi Capital of the Galaxy

Sushi Capital of the Galaxy

By Richard Eriksson on February 23, 2005 - 4:09pm

In an excellent recap of Northern Voice from the point of view of a techie father who took care of the kids while his wife spoke in two sessions, Bainbridge Island's Ted Leung writes about his impressions of Vancouver and the conference (with a quick mention of Urban Vancouver's own Boris Mann):

I think I could almost convince myself to move to Vancouver just so I could eat there. Julie and I both just loved it. This probably one of the few West Coast restaurants that has elicited this kind of reaction from both of us. Boris Mann and some of the guys from Bryght showed up, and promptly proceeded to charm my older two daughters. Incidentally, I love the city of Vancouver. This is only my second visit, but there's just something about the place that I really like. I suspect we'll be trying to find more excuses to go up to Vancouver. And now, we even know a whole pile of people there.Northern Voice 2005 Recap

Chris Pirillo, writing about the wisdom of chilren, had a similarly positive impression of Vancouver while attending the conference:

I'll be visiting Vancouver again. It's the sushi capital of the galaxy. Seriously, that's one great city. I'm happy to be so "close" to it - and I'm not alone. There were a few Seattlites up there, too. One of the highlights of the trip didn't happen at the event, though. The Wisdom of Children
