THE COLD READING SERIES - ALL SUMMER LONG!

By EvolvingArtsCol... on June 25, 2009 - 10:29am

Sep 10 2009 - 7:30pm
Sep 10 2009 - 10:00pm

No rehearsals. This is live.
Admission: BY DONATION

At the CRS, we cast brand new scripts on the spot, then watch them fly in front of a live audience. The CRS is the place for Vancouver's artists to meet one another, share their work, and create more. Every live reading ends with a party in the Gallery where you can meet up with other artists over a cold beer.

Actors need to make quick, strong choices and commit to the story. You don't have to submit your headshot and resume around here, just come on down. Casting starts at 7:30 pm. If it's your first time, come say hello, grab a beer, and watch the readings. You'll get an idea of how we work.

For its 16th season, the CRS is moving to a once a month schedule with a special event or two thrown into the mix. For more information on the 2009 CRS please visit www.evolvingartscollective.com and click on the shows & events link.

CURRENT SCHEDULE:
July 23 @ 7:30pm - Opening Night!
August 20 @ 7:30pm
September 10 @ 7:30pm

Doors: 7:15, Casting: 7:30, Curtain: 8:00

Address:

"All the world's a stage...."

By Ray on December 13, 2007 - 11:35am

For today's picture, I combined two similar ones here to show that there's a set formula for all this stuff if you want to succeed at "playing the game".

And I don't have my hoped-for cute pictures of the annual Christmas Carol-sing and
grog-sampling around the bonfire here at Woodcroft, because....(Because Why?) because I ain't no good at holding a tiny little camera steady enough to avoid blurry night shots, that's why! I mentioned this to an Internet email-pal in the U.K., and Eolake wrote back that "real darkness requires a tripod, of course." I have proof. 15 spoiled images.
But the folks had fun, the fire crackled invitingly, and the annual balcony lighting contest was another success, with some displays even better than last year. And I do hope to get some pictures of them one of these nights - now that I know what's needed.
Enjoy your day, everyone.
