Pavel Egorov launched his career by winning Gold Medal and the Grand Prize at the International Schumann Competition in Zwickau in 1974. He is an Honorary Member of the International Schumann Society, Dusseldorf, Germany and was awarded the International Schumann Price in 1988 . Last year he received the highest artistic recognition in Russia, a "National Artist of Russian Federation" title. He has toured in the United States, Canada, China, Taiwan, Japan, Republic of Korea, and most of Europe. During his career he has performed in more than 3000 solo, symphonic and chamber concerts and recorded over 40 Cds.
This is a rare opportunity to hear J.S. Bach's masterpiece, beautifully arranged for violin, viola and cello. The trio will perform at Christchurch Cathedral, Sunday July 22, at 2pm. The trio’s recording of the Goldberg on Skylark Records will be released throughout North America this fall.
