Don your cocktail attire and join us in the spectacular atrium of the newly opened Blusson Spinal Cord Centre for live music, wine, magnificently catered hors d’oeuvres and good company!
This event is an exciting interdisciplinary fundraiser with proceeds going to both organizations. Vancouver Cantata Singers needs to rely more than ever on self-generated funds to keep making world-class music in this time of unprecedented uncertainty.
ICORD is an interdisciplinary research group with members from UBC, Vancouver Coastal Health and other institutions working towards the discovery, development and implementation of relevant solutions that will make a difference for people with spinal cord injury today and tomorrow. ICORD is raising funds to support the purchase of new research equipment for their multi-organization interdisciplinary spinal cord injury research centre.
The award-winning atrium of the Blusson Spinal Cord Centre features a wrap-around ramp that winds above a central open space below, offering some truly unique performance possibilities!

I had the opportunity to attend the Vancouver Fashion Week's opening Gala the other night down at Bar None in Gastown. It was essentially a meet and greet between a lot of the designers, models and organizers that were involved. I met a lot of interesting people, and talked to a bunch of local designers and models who were all excited to be a part of this weekend's events.
Check out their main web site, as there are a bunch of great events during the weekend, including a swim suit session this afternoon.
