A Night with Noobie: A How To Guide!

Have you ever wanted to simply get together with some great friends at the end of the summer, hear some wick music, and party the night away? I know I have.

Luckily, the Boomsday Alliance has been cooking up such an occasion and here's our recipe!

Ingredients:
* 1 Basket of Epic
* 12 Litres of Awesome
* Dash of Fantastic
* 1 Foot of Wick (2 inches thick)

Steps:
1) Pre-heat blast-burners on Ridic-High. Combine Epic with Awesome adding Fantastic as you mix. Continue until you reach desired consistency.
2) Bake at 420,000 degrees for 333 seconds. Let stand for 15 minutes and serve molten over Wick.

Doneskees.

Whether you've seen Noobie Noobinson and the Boomsday Alliance live before or not, it doesn't matter. THIS is the show you need to see. Treat yourself to a Night with Noobie.

Noobie Noobinson himself!

Green Business Web Review Winner Shops Organically on Granville Island

By uncleweed on January 23, 2008 - 1:59pm

VANCOUVER - January 23, 2008 - A Granville Island shop specializing in organic fabric fashions was a bit surprised when a photographer, a contest winner and a guy with a cheque for $500 came into her store, Organix. While hardly a lotto windfall, all that was missing from the scene was the giant cheque and the confetti!

Alexa, Pat and Dave at Organix

The contest, promoted by newly-launched BC Green Directory happyfrog.ca, encouraged site members to review green-minded businesses and organizations listed in the comprehensive website. Each quality review resulted in an entry to win the loot to spend at any one happyfrog.ca listed shop, service or charity.

As the green directory review contest winner, Vancouver web designer Alexa Booth faced a compelling choice of 1600 different green minded vendors at which to spend her prize - and she should know as she entered over 30 in-depth reviews.

Roland's Bike Share Adventure Part 1 - Gastown to Granville Island to East Van

By Roland Tanglao on June 27, 2007 - 10:06pm

[Cross posted from Change Everything]

I have lived in Vancouver since July 12, 1998 but I never biked from Gastown to Granville Island to East Van !

Impressions:

  • Columbia Street is a mess. The Carrall Street Greenway will fix this methinks
  • As I said to a Vancouver Sun reporter, I want it to be like the bike paths in southern Germany where I lived for 3.5 years. No motorized vehicles because there will always be accidents when the two share the same space.
  • Canada Line construction is omnipresent and disrupting every mode of transit!
  • Biking is the best way to learn about a city next to walking.

I took 80 photos of my journey today (yes I am crazy enough to take cameraphone pictures everywhere :-) !)

Here are my favourites (guess where they are :-) ! )
