What does a green thumb have to do with cancer?

The Canadian Cancer Society is hosting a half-day, Cancer Prevention Forum in Vancouver. At this event you’ll learn simple you can do to prevent cancer—such as choosing safer alternatives to pesticides when gardening. It’s free and informative to help you and your loved ones avoid preventable cancers by making a UTURN for change. Guest speakers will explore how to make good decisions on cancer prevention, how personal choices and government legislation can protect us from cancer causing substances, such as pesticides and a new initiative to promote cancer prevention in BC.

Please join Kintec and Club Fat Ass for a 45 minute fun run in the jungle and a 45 minute seminar on injury prevention for runners and how to keep healthy in training. There will be pizza, maybe a prize on the run and lots of opportunity for questions and answers.

This session is free. Pre-registration is required, as attendance is limited to 20.

* 5:30 Meet at the store (975 Marine Drive in North Vancouver)
* 5:45 Run starts promptly. May break into 2 ability levels
* 6:30 Run finishes
* 6:45 Talk begins
* 8:00 Talk and Q&A finishes. May reconvene at Taylors Crossing pub
