Canadian APATHY behind all those smiling faces...

Over the weekend two of the mainstay news stories dealt with:
1. Showing off one of three new BC Ferries, appropriately named "Coastal Renaissance" (going back to our old habits of not supporting Canadian Industry). A smiling BC Ferry CEO declaring proud faced it was a subsidy issue why NO BC shipbuilder was even allowed to bid on the contract.
2. Then there were all those smiling faces from government officials/minister, our infamous Vancouver mayor, including Hyundai Rotem CEO winner of the 2010 SkyTrain contract posing in front of the first completed 2010 SkyTrain...
Beware, beware of the handshake
That hides the snake
I'm telling you beware
Beware of the pat on the back
It just might hold you back
