World-renown archaeologist Brian Fagan presents an illustrated public talk that explores the fascinating science of modern archaeology and highlights some of the important global issues of climate change and heritage conservation that archaeologists face today in our modern world.

Dr. Brian Fagan is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Anthropology, University of California and best-selling author of university text books and popular non-fiction writing about archaeology. His latest new book is, "The Great Warming: Climate Change and the Rise and Fall of Civilizations" (Raincoast Books, March 2008).

Raincoast books will be at the event to sell copies of Dr. Fagan's new book.
