World Poetry July 30 canceled due to strike.
By worldpoetry on July 26, 2007 - 8:10pm
We are sorry to inform you that The World Poetry Reading Series on July 30th is canceled due to the city strike. This is the first time in 6 ½ years that the World Poetry Reading Series has been cancelled at the library.
We tried to find an alternative venue but unfortunately it fell through.
The featured poets will be invited at a later date.
The letter of cancellation from the library said that this is the first strike in history and that they are very sorry that the cancellation is in effect.
If you know of a venue for World Poet’s Night Out, please let me know. We are hoping to start the new venue in September.
Thank you very much for all your kindness and support.
