Local singer songwriter Cherelle Jardine teamed up with Producer Murray Wasylnuk to film a video for her song "Nothing left to Say" recorded in Blue Rodeo's studio "The Woodshed" in Toronto.
The song and video is a snapshot of what may happen to a young teen, that is abused and sent out on the street to fend for themselves. Jardine and Wasylnuk contacted Kids Help Phone to offer the release event as a fundraiser for the National organization. Cherelle feels it is so important that today's youth have somewhere they can call when they need help, wishing she had that service when she was growing up. Kids Help Phone, professional counsellors available for kids in Canada has a local office in Vancouver.

A Very Vancouver Christmas: Volume III Scheduled For Release On November 12th

By noodlehead_prod... on October 27, 2008 - 10:24am

A Very Vancouver Christmas, an album of original Christmas/Holiday music, in aid of the BC-SPCA, is slated for release on November 12th. All artists and services are donated, and all proceeds from sales will be donated to the aforementioned charity. The album features 13 original holiday songs by local rising stars, as well as some old favorites.

The project is the creative brainchild of Vancouver Record Producer, Jenn Ashton of Rave On Studio, who wanted to find a way to showcase some of Vancouver's amazing new musical talent, while at the same time involve and give back to the community. She also wanted to pay tribute to non-traditional Christmas and holiday music and to the people who make it. In August 2006, ten of Vancouver’s most popular musicians and bands were invited to participate in this project for charity. They wrote and recorded their own original Christmas/Holiday music for the first volume in just a few short months, and the results were amazing! Due to the unprecedented success of the first album, it was decided to make this an annual event.
